Isabelle Sain is an artist whose work is an ongoing sensory experience that explores the relationships between body and space. Her work is grounded in establishing connections and events that define shared experiences. She represents the tactility of these experiences through experimental wearable objects, textiles and interactive sculptures as a way to understand human interaction within the physical, political, social, and spiritual environment.
Isabelle’s work has been exhibited in Toronto, Halifax and Copenhagen. At Threading Change, she has conducted research projects and developed educational programs centred on investigating the future of fashion. Isabelle has coordinated community events with a number of brands and organizations including Patagonia and Fashion Revolution, working towards growing collective responsibility, including the justice of garment workers. Isabelle blends the lines of art and industry to create innovative design solutions for textile production that revolves around nourishing people and planet.
